Cooper University Health Care has been recognized in U.S. News & World Report’s 2024-2025 Best Hospitals survey as one of the top 10 hospitals in New Jersey. Notably, Cooper earned the highest ranking in southern New Jersey and is among the top 11% of hospitals nationwide to receive a numerical ranking.
In addition to this statewide recognition, Cooper was rated high performing nationally in 10 key procedures and conditions, including:
- Leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma
- Colon cancer surgery
- Prostate cancer surgery
- Abdominal aortic aneurysm repair
- Heart attack care
- Aortic valve surgery
- Heart bypass surgery
- Heart failure care
- Transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)
- Maternity care (uncomplicated pregnancy)

The U.S. News & World Report rankings, now in their 35th year, evaluate over 4,300 hospitals based on factors like patient outcomes, experience, nurse staffing, and expert opinions. These rankings are a resource for patients facing complex or critical care needs, helping them make informed choices about where to seek treatment.
