For over thirty years, Charles L. Muracco, CPA, CGMA, has taken an innovative approach to the accounting profession, traditionally bound by convention. Early in his career, as an associate and later partner at Jos. L. Maccarone & Co. in Philadelphia, Charlie redefined the CPA’s role to be more than just a tax preparer or occasional advisor. He envisioned the CPA as a trusted consultant, offering reliable guidance on all aspects of small and medium-sized businesses’ financial operations. In 2005, Charlie took his first big step, co-founding an accounting and consulting firm in Sewell, NJ. Many clients he serves today have been with him since that time.

In 2013, Charlie became the sole owner and CEO of the firm, rebranding it as CLM Advisors. His focus shifted toward a comprehensive advisory model, centered on "fiscal management” a system designed to help businesses achieve their goals through accounting controls, profitability modeling, and sound financial education. With a team of professionals serving South Jersey and Philadelphia, CLM Advisors has become a well-known name in the local business community. Under Charlie’s leadership, the firm takes a team-oriented approach, aiming to strengthen the local economy, one client at a time.

Charlie has received numerous professional recognitions throughout his career. In 2020, the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce named him Small Businessperson of the Year, following his selection as one of SJ Biz’s Entrepreneurs of the Year in 2018. Most recently, SJ Biz honored him as a Top CEO in 2024. Earlier in his career, SmartCEO recognized him as a Top CPA in both 2010 and 2011. His company, CLM Advisors, has also been acknowledged as “Best of Small Biz” in 2017 and “Best of Tax Advisory” in 2018 and 2022 by SJ Biz.

Beyond work, Charlie enjoys fine wines, cuisine, and community service. He serves on the boards of YMCA of the Pines, Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce, and the Jersey Man/Philly Man Legacy Club, and is a proud member of the AICPA, NJCPA, and PICPA.
