Asking for Major and Planned Gifts: While a near-endless to-do list can consume a fundraiser’s time, major and planned gifts must remain a priority. Small shops often fear they lack the time or expertise to focus on these essential functions. This session will address how to adopt a major gifts culture and advance a planned giving program (even if you’re not an expert!).

Richard Quinn will be taking session participants through his Art of the Ask training, a six-step process during which engages the prospect into conversation about their passions, invite them to consider a gift, respond to questions they have, and ensure a confirmed next step. Since “butterflies” are always a part of this work, even for the most seasoned of us, Richard will prepare us to respond to the difficult questions and comments we may get from our prospects, even the word, “no.”
