Job Overview:

The Licensed Intensive ln- Home & Community Therapist (IIC) will provide culturally competent mental health services to individuals and families who are experiencing varying levels of difficulties due to life situations or mental health concerns.

The Department of IIC provides therapeutic services to adults, adolescents, and children with identified mental health or substance abuse diagnosis.

This service is designed to meet the specific mental health needs of the identified client as they relate to their diagnosis.

IIC therapy includes psycho- educational activities/interventions designed to assist the client of the reduction of dysfunction. Services are provided with several therapeutic orientations and are delivered through intensive, time-limited, goal specific interventions.

IIC Therapy is provided within the client's home and in the community.

Key Job Duties: (include but not limited to)

• Provide initial screenings and mental health assessments that identify service needs and recommend options for care.
• Share assessment findings with clients and their families.
• Involve the client and their families in the development of treatment plan goals, objectives and interventions that address their assessed behavioral health needs.
• Provide individual, family and group therapy services.
• Provide case management services to assist clients and their families with access to needed benefits and services.
• Reassess and review treatment progress with clients and their families at prescribed intervals

Experience/Qualifications:

• 3 years of mental health experience
• Experience in delivery and administration of mental health care systems
• Effective decision-making skills in treatment service setting.

Education/Certifications:

• Master’s degree in a mental health field (e.g.; social work, psychology, counseling)
• Licensed in the state of New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LSW, LAC)
