Sewell, NJ, February 27, 2024…CLM Advisors, a leading New Jersey-based fiscal advisory and accounting firm, continues its charitable mission with a donation to the Washington Township, NJ Police K-9 Unit. The donation will be used to offset the costs of purchasing additional dogs, highly specialized K-9 academy training, required medical insurance, and food. Established over 20 years ago, the Unit is comprised of five K-9 officers accompanied by five fully trained dogs. Two additional canines will be in service by year end.

Washington Township Police Canine Officer, Paul Crozier, a 10-year veteran of the force stated, “The Wahington Township Police Department greatly appreciates Charles Muracco’s, along with everyone at CLM Advisors’ contribution to the Police K-9 Unit. With local and state budgets so tight, we heavily rely on donations from businesses and residents to help offset the cost of our K-9 Unit, which is deployed every day to help us ‘protect and serve’.”

The Canine Unit’s handlers, Officers Bauman, Crozier, Franchi, Kalber, and Pinnelli, are partnered with dogs individually trained in such disciplines as agility, obedience, article/evidence searches, scent work,

tracking, criminal apprehension, handler protection, crowd control, plus the detection of various controlled and/or dangerous substances. In addition to successfully completing four months of training at the K-9 Academy, the dogs are required to participate in monthly in-service training.

The current Unit includes Rosco, Ajax, and Rip who are patrol and scent trained German Shepards, plus scent-trained Vino, a Labrador Retriever. They are joined by Red, a Blood Hound whose specialty is tracking missing people.
