Deborah Heart and Lung Center Earns ACR® Accreditation in Cardiac MRI
Browns Mills, N.J. – Deborah Heart and Lung Center has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology® (ACR®). This prestigious recognition places Deborah Heart and Lung Center among fewer than 30 locations in New Jersey that are accredited in cardiac MRI, highlighting Deborah’s commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
MRI is a noninvasive medical test that utilizes magnetic fields to produce images of internal anatomy to help physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. It creates detailed heart images without using radiation. This technology aids in the diagnosis and management of conditions such as coronary artery disease, valve failure, heart rhythm disturbances, heart failure and congenital heart defects. At Deborah, Cardiac MRI services are available five days a week. Our state-of-the-art MRI equipment and advanced imaging techniques support a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic applications, all focused on providing the highest level of patient care.
The ACR® gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting specific requirements based on ACR® Practice Parameters and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. Image quality, personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs are assessed. The findings are reported back to the facility and provide the practice with a comprehensive report that can be used for continuous practice improvement.
“The accreditation is only given to facilities that adhere to rigorous standards, and we are proud that Deborah has achieved this Accreditation,” said Paul Antonucci, Senior Director of Imaging Services, Deborah Heart and Lung Center. “This accomplishment not only reflects our commitment to the highest standards of care, but it also underscores our dedication to providing the most advanced diagnostic tools for our patients.
